As I stand on the rim and peer down upon the eroded layers of earth, I am not alone. Over the sound of rustling leaves, I hear music emerging from deep within the canyon. A melody of high-pitched ancient tones echoes between earthen walls. It reaches my ears and moves me as if it were a warm wind. Could Kokopelli, the hunchback flute player, be down there? My pleasure is greater, this time, not being alone.
